RAINBOW TRUST

Rainbow Trust support families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness and are in the greatest need of support and help at home, in hospital and in the community.

Today there are an estimated 49,000 children and young people in the UK living with a life limiting or life threatening condition who may require palliative care (University of Leeds, 2011). Many of these children and their families are able to cope or are not in a ‘crisis situation’. However, thousands of families have to face the very real possibility that their child may die and struggle to cope on a day to day basis.

Here at Craft & Crumb we are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Rainbow Trust to help make a difference to families caring for a seriously ill child. As mothers ourselves, this is a cause very close to our hearts and we hope to raise vital funds and awareness from our Rainbow Baking kits so that Rainbow Trust can continue the incredible work it does to support families who are facing the unimaginable.

“We are incredibly excited to be working with Craft & Crumb. It is a partnership that makes sense in so many ways, helping make life a little easier, so that anyone can make home-baked cakes that taste delicious and look fabulous without spending hours in the kitchen. Funds raised from Craft & Crumb Rainbow Baking kits will make a huge difference to families we support, helping raise money for expert Family Support Workers to help families at a very difficult time." (Oonagh Goodman, Rainbow Trust’s Director of Fundraising and Marketing)
