We are so excited to be launching Craft & Crumb.  Almost exactly a year ago we were sitting in Kate's kitchen discussing the idea, and we decided to just go for it!  We are now thrilled  to be ready to launch our birthday and celebration cake kits.

Through trial and error, we have come up with three principles for our cake kits.  The principles are really important to us and are incorporated into all of our kits.

 

• We use the best quality ingredients in our cake mixes; organic unbleached self-raising flour and organic natural caster sugar. The icing sugar we include for the buttercream is also premium and organic.  There are no additives or preservatives in our mixes that you would find in many shop bought birthday cakes, and it makes for a truly delicious homemade cake. 
• We create quirky, fun designs that we’re sure your children will love.
• We have created cakes that are simple to make when you have everything from your kit to hand. Neither of us were experienced bakers when we started this venture,  so we were able to make sure nothing was over-complicated - no fiddly carving, we promise!  We of course provide detailed step-by-step instructions for every cake. There are also videos that demonstrate icing techniques and we’ll be adding these to our website very soon.

 

Our plan is to expand the collection with new birthday cake designs, as well as seasonal collections and cupcake only kits, so do keep an eye on our website, and make sure you follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
