Baking with preschoolers and toddlers can be fun and challenging all at the same time. There will be mess but there will also be so many wonderful bonding and teachable moments in one delicious activity.

Allowing preschoolers and toddlers to help in the kitchen helps them to refine their fine motto skills when they pour, stir, cut cookies, ice and decorating their creations. There is also ample opportunity to develop and expand their vocab as they describe what they are feeling, what they are doing, as they count the steps and by listening closely to the instructions.
