This chocolate heart bark is one of the easiest and most satisfying Valentine treats you can make with kids. There’s no baking involved, minimal mess, and endless room for creativity. Simply melt, swirl, sprinkle and chill! It’s perfect for little hands, last-minute gifts, or a calm activity when you want something fun without turning the kitchen upside down.

Milk or white chocolate

Pink food colouring (optional)

Pink sprinkles

Pretzels

Any extra toppings you love (mini marshmallows, freeze-dried fruit, sweets)

Microwave-safe bowl

Baking tray

Baking paper
Method

Line a baking tray with baking paper.

Melt the chocolate gently in the microwave, stirring every 20–30 seconds.

Add a small amount of pink food colouring if using and swirl gently.

Pour and spread the melted chocolate onto the lined tray.

Sprinkle over Smarties, sprinkles, pretzels and any other toppings.

Chill in the fridge until fully set.
