Ingredients
-
Mini salted pretzels (heart-shaped ones if you can find them!)
-
Chocolate buttons (milk, white, or dark — or a mix!)
Method
-
Prepare your tray
Line a baking tray with baking parchment. -
Add the chocolate
Place chocolate buttons spaced evenly across the tray (flat side down). -
Top with pretzels
Gently press a pretzel onto the top of each button so the chocolate sticks slightly. -
Chill time
Pop the tray into the fridge for 15–20 minutes, or until the chocolate has set. -
Pack them up
Once firm, pop the chocolate pretzels into a clear bag and add a homemade label like:
“Chocolate Pretzels for Daddy” 💌
Serving Suggestions
These make for a lovely little treat with a cuppa, or as a sweet surprise after dinner on Father’s Day.
Storage Tips
Store in an airtight container or sealed bag in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Easy Variations
-
Add a drizzle! Melt a little white chocolate and drizzle over the top before chilling.
-
Sprinkle some love: Add some colourful sprinkles or chopped nuts on top before the chocolate sets.
-
Go gourmet: Swap buttons for squares of flavoured chocolate — think mint, orange, or caramel!
FAQs
Can I use large pretzels?
Mini pretzels work best as they’re bite-sized, but larger ones will work too — you might just need more chocolate!
Can the kids help?
Definitely! This is a fab no-cook recipe that’s great for little hands to assemble.
Do I need to melt the chocolate first?
Nope! The buttons soften just enough in the fridge to stick to the pretzels.
Tip!
Let the kids decorate the label or even the bag itself with stickers and drawings — it adds that extra personal touch 🖍️✨
