π Earth Day Biscuits
A fun, simple bake to celebrate Earth Day π±
These two-colour biscuits are perfect for little hands to help create their own mini planets β no two will ever look the same.
A small, thoughtful way to make something together (and a nice alternative to throwaway treats too π)

π Planet Biscuits (2-Colour Dough)
Youβll need:
- 200g unsalted butter (softened)
- 100g caster sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 300g plain flour
For the colours:
- Blue food colouring
- Green food colouring
How to make:
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add the flour and mix until a soft dough forms.
-
Split the dough in half.
- Add blue colouring to one half
-
Add green colouring to the other
Mix each until evenly coloured. -
Create your planet effect:
Tear off small pieces of each colour and gently press them together (donβt overmix β you want that swirly Earth look π). - Roll into balls, then lightly flatten into biscuit shapes.
- Place on a lined baking tray and chill for 15β20 minutes (helps them keep their shape).
- Bake at 180Β°C (160Β°C fan) for 10β12 minutes, until just golden at the edges.
- Leave to coolβ¦ then admire your mini planets β¨
Tip:
Let little hands decide where the βlandβ and βseaβ go β no two planets will look the same, which is kind of the point π
