🕒 Ready in 15 minutes (+ chilling time) (15 minutes prep)
This is one of my all-time favorite treat-sized bakes, especially when I'm looking for a quick and impressive dessert. And the best part? No oven is required! It's so simple that even the tiniest bakers in your home can help make it.
I've crafted this recipe to be extra easy, making it the perfect family baking project.
Ingredients
-
100g unsalted butter
-
75g golden syrup
-
250g digestive biscuits, crushed
-
50g cocoa powder
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
100g milk chocolate
-
100g dark chocolate
Method
-
Grease and line a 20cm (8-inch) square tin with parchment paper.
-
In a large heatproof bowl, melt the butter and golden syrup together over a pan of simmering water (make sure the bowl doesn't touch the water). Alternatively, you can melt them in the microwave in short bursts.
-
Once melted, stir in the crushed biscuits, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until everything is well combined. Press this mixture firmly into the prepared tin, using the back of a spoon to create an even layer.
-
For the topping, melt the milk and dark chocolate together, using the same method as for the butter and syrup.
-
Pour the melted chocolate over the biscuit base and spread it out evenly with a spatula.
-
Pop the tin in the fridge for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate is completely set.
-
Once set, cut the tiffin into squares and enjoy!
Serving Suggestions
This tiffin is delicious on its own, but you can also serve it with a dollop of whipped cream, some fresh berries, or even a drizzle of caramel sauce.

Easy Variations
-
Add a handful of mini marshmallows or chopped nuts to the biscuit mixture.
