Happy Half Term Activities for Kids
Half term is just around the corner and we are so excited. It will be a much needed break from formal learning for all.
Unfortunately there are no fun mini breaks or day trips to plan so we need some creative ideas to keep everyone engaged and happy for the week. We have compiled a list of fab activities and downloads to help make the week as entertaining as possible.
Baking Activity Bundle

Banjo Robinson is a globetrotting cat who takes you on virtual adventures with his postcards from around the world. He has very kindly put together a free 18 page printable activity pack with facts, creative challenges and recipes from all seven continents.
We may not be able to physically travel anywhere during half term but as Banjo says, our imaginations can take us anywhere! Pack your bags and travel the globe this half term with Banjo!
Online Filmmaking course
Join this workshop to make your own futuristic movie in February half term. It’s an action-packed camp, full of fun, imagination and creativity. Young movie makers develop their filmmaking talents and skills both behind and in front of the camera. Our movie night popcorn kit is prefect for your premiere.
The Great Indoors with the Scouts
The Scouts are usually known for embracing the great outdoors but they have pulled together some wonderful ways to keep kids entertained indoors during February half term and throughout homeschool & lockdown. This is a wonderful time to get involved with Scouts from the comfort of your own home sweet home. Learn new skills and have fun exploring the great indoors!
National Trust
As always, your local National Trust is a great place to visit during half term. Check their website to ensure your site is open and if you are required to make a booking. If you can't visit in person, they have created a number of activities, downloads and helpful tips to get out and involved in your own gardens this half term. 'Sounds of nature' bingo is a fun download for you to play on your own or with friends and relatives. You can play it at home, in your local park or your favourite National Trust Park.
Science of the Sea at home
This February half term dive into the science of the sea and rocket into outer space. Follow the space themed online live crafting and learn all about life as an astronaut complete with alien exploration in space and the deep sea.
National Geographic Kids
National Geographic kids website have so many wonderful activities and resources available to follow and download. Get kids to show our planet some love this Valentine's day with their extensive list of helpful tips, educational resources and crafts to help you give back to our natural world.

Earn rewards as you tackle the RSPB Wild Challenge. There are a number of fun tasks to complete this half term to help you connect to nature and learn more about wildlife in the world around you.
